Driver Pay FAQ

Shipt's goal is to maximize drivers’ earning potential and ensure they get the best value or compensation for their effort.

When will I get paid?

  • The pay period is Monday through Sunday. Payment is received via direct deposit every Friday for the routes completed the previous Monday through Sunday.
  • If you have any issues with receiving your deposit or believe there is an error with your paycheck, please contact Shipt Support to get assistance.

Are taxes taken out of my paycheck?

  • No. Taxes are not taken out of your paycheck. Click here to learn helpful tax information for drivers.

What is estimated pay?

  • Estimated pay is a range, per route, drivers can expect to be paid for completing a route. The estimated pay will be displayed on a route's offer card.

What is promo pay?

  • Promo pay is an incentive added to routes that, generally, are approaching their pickup window but remain unclaimed. The promo pay is included in the estimated pay range shown on the offer card and is automatically applied to the total pay amount after the route is completed.

Will I receive additional pay if I have to return packages from my route back to the sortation center?

  • If you claim a route and some packages must be returned to the sortation center due to being undeliverable, you will receive $5 per route.
  • The additional pay will automatically appear in your pay history.

Can my pay change after claiming a route?

  • If you claim a route, arrive on time for pickup, and scan all available packages for that route, your pay will be within the range on the offer.
  • However, if you remove packages from your route at pick up, it may result in changes to the route’s size and pay since you will be completing fewer deliveries. You will be able to review and accept all route updates, including revised pay and size, before leaving the sortation center.
  • Keep in mind that if a route’s size changes due to unscanned packages, it may no longer qualify for certain bonuses.

If the route size changes after it's claimed, will it still qualify for bonus opportunities?

  • If you reserve or claim a route that meets the criteria for a bonus opportunity and the route size changes prior to pickup due to a sortation center issue, the route will still count toward your bonus. If the route size changes due to unscanned packages at pickup, the route may not count toward your bonus.

Do I have an option to withdraw my pay before payday?

  • Yes! The Instant Payout feature enables drivers to transfer available funds on demand rather than waiting until each weekly payday — allowing you more flexibility in when you receive your pay. To learn more about Instant Payout, click here.

How do I view my previous pay history?

  • If an entire route is canceled by Shipt more than 2 hours before the arrival window, you will not be paid for that route. However, if an entire route is canceled by Shipt less than two hours prior to the arrival window, you will be paid $25 for the route.

How do I receive bonus pay?
