Proof of Delivery

Before completing a delivery, drivers will be asked to submit proof of delivery at each stop on a route.

Once you’ve scanned all packages at a delivery location, select Add proof of delivery.

  • From this screen, you’ll be prompted to take a photo of the packages within the delivery site.
  • Once the image has been captured or uploaded, select Submit photo to Shipt.
  • Then, you’ll be able to complete the Swipe to finish action to confirm and complete the delivery.

If a customer comes outside to receive their package before you’ve had a chance to take a proof of delivery photo, please kindly let them know that you’ll need to capture an image of the package before handing it off to them.

Tips and tricks for taking proof of delivery photos:

When taking a proof of delivery photo, you may include the entire surrounding entryway and any house or apartment numbers, if applicable. Photos should be taken 4 to 6 feet from the door, the image should be clear, and the order should take up at least ⅓ of the photo. 

In order to protect customer privacy, please DO NOT take photos of:

  • Anything that shows the customer’s full name or full address
  • The entire residence
  • Any people or animals
  • Any vehicle or license plate
